Frank Bennett was the lead singer of Fortes Mentum during the 1960's and I met him when he joined the group. He had just moved back from Germany where he had been a professional singer for five years. He was a couple of years older than the rest of us and he was looked up to as a great showman and performer. We had some wonderful times together recording, touring and socialising. Frank was always good fun and popular. He spent his life using his talent to good effect. Frank and I clicked when we first met and kept on clicking. We kept in touch over the years and it was always a pleasure to chat on the phone.
